This is what was in the
first scan, more may turn up:
·
Label
01, Label 02 and Label
03 scans of the cover art….
·
Les
01 & Les 02 – We understood that Les always
wanted to be a guitar hero, so here he is in the 60’s folk rebel style
·
Ahhh, our teen beef
cake… Mark 01 – Mark joined us for our first gig
and played on the second album, we knew he was good as he even paid to get in
to the first gig to play with us..
·
Mel
01 – Looking as magic as ever at our first gig, mind you I recall a gig in
Uxbridge where Mel scared one of the people in the front row closest to the stage
who was trying to ignor him/us
·
Moose
01 and Moose 02 – Both these shots of the
moose from our first gig in the Fulham at one of those real late 70’s early
80’s rock pubs, Moose 03 is the man in a more
pensive moose, considering what reverse, slowed tape flange thing could to do
Mel (or at least his vocal track)!
·
Product 01 and Product
02 – Are what the tapes looked like – No I don’t think there are any
anywhere any more…. O dear god we hope
not!
·
Richard the
co-writer of poor little dog – Richard was known to all of us, but his wife
would never let him out to play, so he and Les did some work on what may have
been one of our best tunes!
·
Richard the ever absent
roady
·
Most if not all of the
songs where recorded way late and after hours at a studio called Space
More, did pix:
·
We often used unusual
instruments and toys, here is Les playing a
toy piano, and Les with a
home made guitar (as far as anyone can recall).
·
From time to time,
others joined us on sessions, here is Nigel, and
here he is hunting for
sleep after a long session, also in the pic is Mark working on some stuff,
a very long session was when re recorded Roger the Hegehog, Here is Mark and Moose doing the basic
track, Mark and
Mel overdubbing vocals or something, even the moose crashed out, and here are the heroes on the way home, I think it was about 6am on a
Sunday.
·
We did lots of odd
stuff, here we are with water
noise (Mark) and figure of 8 mics and vocals, he is Les being chased by a Mic,
and Les covering the controls of the studio for the moose,
Les mends cars with nails and stuff so very qualified for this work.
·
Back to the Gig at
Fulham – here we are.
·
Back at the Studio, Mark with a vocal, and Les and Mel
get another good idea…
Feedback: The email you sent out with the subject line of: “Re: Fwd: From a land a long way away, a long time ago that really wished
it had stayed in bed that morning” I think this
should be sent repeatedly around with each person adding their own bit to the
title. Then we'll set it to music, get Richard drunk enough to record it,
and burn the finished result. - Take care. See you later. Les
